Student Council Christmas Report
As we come towards the end of 2021 and the halfway point in this school year we would like to look back on what we have done these past two terms.
GOAL Jersey Day
We began our year with council by fundraising for the Goal Jersey Day on October 8th. This is an annual fundraiser we do every year in our school as this is a very important cause that lies as one of the world’s biggest problems today. GOAL is a foundation that tackles the hunger and poverty of refugees and sets up camps around poverty stricken areas. This year we raised over €901.95 towards the GOAL Jersey Day.

Annual Offaly Youth Council AGM
We had 9 students attending the Offaly Youth Council AGM on the 25th of November. This AGM was very beneficial for our student council and the Offaly Youth Council as we talked on present matters such as mental heatlh, our environment and how we can help it and the current state of COVID in schools. Multiple schools around offlay attended this AGM and we discussed problems us students face today in our school environment and how we can overcome these problems and make our school life better. Us feeding our personal information from being in school to the Offaly Youth Council also benefits them greatly as they can research our information we gave them and hope to put in place solutions for all schools around Offaly resolving these problems to try improve all students time in school. Thank you to the Offaly Youth Council for inviting us to this amazing talk.
We hope everyone stays safe and protects each other from COVID this Christmas,
Merry Christmas to all!
