U15 soccer team defeated by strong Dublin side in Leinster Quarter-Final

Coláiste Choilm - 1

Moyle Park - 4

Report by Jakub Skrzecz

The match started with Moyle Park having majority possession of the ball and Coláiste Choilm fiercely defending their goal. Moyle Park had several chances with shots blocked and saved by CC. In the 21’ Moyle Park attacked from the left and scored the first goal of the match to make it 1-0 to the Dublin side.

After the first goal, S. Lawless intercepted the ball in attack and powerfully placed the ball over the keeper to level the match in the 24th minute, 1-1. Before the half ended, Moyle Park scored twice to make the score 3-1 going into the 2nd half.

Straight in the 2nd half after some substitutions Coláiste Choilm had a massive chance to score with a free kick but missed the opportunity. The 2nd half was very physical and tiring in the cold rain. Coláiste Choilm struggled to score a goal with time ticking in favour of the opposition. With 5 minutes left to go Moyle Park ended the contest scoring from a corner, ending the Tullamore sides brilliant undefeated run this year.
