Colaiste Choilm boys' victory over St. Brendan’s Community College Birr.

It was a cold but sunny morning in Birr as the morning commenced to kick-off.

The starting 11 was: Noah Condron (GK), Noah Berry (LB), Ivan Aniskin (CB), Conall Buggy (CB), Thomas Prendergast (RB), Devin Molloy (LM), Kaiden Dunne (CM), Kaiden Monaghan (CM), Conor Horkan (RM), Ishmael Falode- Lose (ST), Paddy O’Conell (ST).

Colaiste Choilm started strong and in the 7th minute Paddy O’Conell scores the opening goal for Colaiste Choilm with an astonishing finish from a free kick into the bottom left corner of the net.

Colaiste Choilm we’re still walking over the Birr team causing frustration for the Birr side until the 24th minute came as Devin Molloy delivered a beautiful finish to make the Colaiste Choilm boys double their lead.

Devin Molloy must have gained confidence from their second goal as he scores a wonder goal by chipping the keeper and the ball bounces over the keeper and goes into the back of the net with a great assist from Paddy O’Conell to make colaiste choilm be 3 goals ahead going into Half time. After the 10-minute wait of the coaches, Ms. O’Neill and Ms. Rowland giving the boys a talk about tactics and information about the game, the referee, Martin Kelly was ready to resume the game.

A few half time substitutions were made as Ishmael Falode-Lose comes off for Pádraig Johnson and Ivan Aniskin comes off for dáithí Boland.

The second half begins with an amazing save from Noah Condron to keep the clean sheet for the boys in red and blue, and in the same play Paddy O’Conell scores a goal to make the boys go 4-0 up, 2 for him and 4 for the boys in red and blue.

Substitution for Colaiste Choilm as Adam Geraghty comes on to replace Kaiden Dunne in the centre of the field.

This then turns into a quintuple substitution as Noah Berry, Thomas Prendergast and Kaiden Monoghan also come off for Thomas Clooney, Kristian Svidersks and Conor Grattan.
