Subject Choice

Choosing subjects is an important step in each student’s journey. We provide guidance, resources, and support to help students make informed and confident decisions at every stage.

First Year Subject Choice

First Year students will make their optional subject choices in December.

To support this process, students and parents can access a range of helpful resources and information. These materials provide an overview of subjects, expectations, and what to consider when making choices.

Senior Cycle Subject Choice

In the spring term, Transition Year students and some Third Year students will select their subjects for Senior Cycle.

Students are fully supported throughout this process and will have the opportunity to:

• Meet with the Guidance Counsellor
• Discuss options and future pathways
• Explore subject requirements for further education and careers
